The Donna and Mark Memorial Trust was created to pay forward all that I learned and benefited from during my grief journey following Donna’s passing. The wound of that loss and grief allowed light and knowledge to enter me. I became the person she loved to be. 

I wish who I’ve become with my compassion and insight brought to the struggles others have could have been given to Donna during her illness. Though if she were here, her voice would’ve been a resounding no, true. She would share all that I did to be the caring and loving docent for her death. That will never be enough.  

I’m seeking to pay forward her memory and my growth. The Donna and Mark Memorial Trust will focus its financial support on suicide prevention, crisis intervention, teens, the isolated elderly suffering deaths of despair, and grief. 

Effective mental health and support is local. It is communities of friends, neighbors, and organizations supporting each other. A perpetual motion machine of compassion. 

Financial support will be focused on local organizations that are 501(c)(3) that meet the criteria in the above areas.
